Parsippany, NJ – March 5, 2024 – The Parsippany Main Library was proud to be a drop-off location for Brandon’s Heart and Sole! Brandon’s Heart and Sole collects new socks for men, women, and children for those in need. Did you know that socks are one of the most needed but least donated items in shelters across the United States? The Parsippany Main Library collected over 800 socks during the past two months. “All of us at Brandon’s Heart and Sole are grateful for the support and enthusiasm put forth by the library and community during the recent sock drive! There are so many less fortunate whose spirits are lifted by the simple gift of a new pair of socks. Socks are an item many of us take for granted each day, but for those in need it’s a small ray of hope for better days to come, thanks to a community with a heart of compassion. Since the drive, we have already donated 500 pairs of socks to the homeless right here in our county. Continued sock drives help us to have a constant flow of inventory to handle charitable requests.
