Winter Wonderland Reading Program

Students in grades 6-8 can participate in this winter reading challenge. Read 600 minutes for a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card. Smaller prizes will be distributed throughout the program.

Volunteer Opportunities

Need volunteer hours?

Throughout our current isolation, you can help us provide relevant and fun content for our Instagram @parlibteens. Write a book review, create a book face or come up with your own creative ideas! Students can earn up to 4 hours of volunteer time. Hours earned will be based on the content submitted.

Test Prep Database – Mometrix

We have a new database, Mometrix, that allows you to prep and practice for a variety of tests, including GED, GRE, Praxis, ACT, SAT, and many more!

In order to access the database, choose your home library from the list, and on the next screen when it asks for your “password” enter your library barcode number (located on the back of your card, beneath the barcode). You can then choose “Practice Tests” from the left-hand menu to view all available tests.

NJ Motor Vehicle Permit Practice Test

The Parsippany Library is announcing a partnership with Driving-Tests.org, a company dedicated to driver safety and education, to offer free DMV practice tests to library patrons. The new service includes free tests, written specifically based on the NJ DMV materials, and is the only site of its kind to include accessibility tools that allow users to hear selections read aloud, make them into MP3s, translate pages into other languages, magnify text, and mask sections of the screen for greater visibility on driving practice tests.
