On Tuesday, February 27 the Parsippany Library hosted its first ever Reading Party. Billed as “a cozy night out for book lovers,” the event drew a crowd of 26 avid readers who came armed with good books and silenced cell phones; some even brought their own blankets! The library’s reading nook was decked out with fairy lights, soft seating, and a mini faux-fireplace. Calming music played in the background while guests visited the coffee and hot chocolate bar and found a comfy seat. Participants read quietly for an hour, and then were invited to stay and chat with other readers. Most of the crowd stayed until the library closed at 9:00, and all are eagerly awaiting the next event, which will be held on Tuesday, March 26 at 7:00 pm.
