On Exhibit – The Paintings of Annie Tung

We’re proud to feature the work of local artist Annie Tung this month at Parsippany Library. Her exhibit is a vibrant reflection of a lifelong love of art—and a testament to the joy of creative exploration at any stage in life.

Annie’s journey as a painter began in the year 2000, following her retirement from her regular job. What started as a daily 2 PM ritual of watching The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross soon became something much more. Inspired by Ross’s calming presence and iconic landscapes, Annie picked up a brush and began to paint.

“I tried his style, which is scenery, for a while,” Annie shares. “Then I started to explore other topics.”

Originally based in Long Island, she joined the Floral Park Art League, where she exhibited her work in local parks and community spaces. Over the years, Annie sold several pieces—including her very first sale, a seascape influenced by Bob Ross himself.

Now a New Jersey resident, Annie resumed painting more seriously five years ago and continues to develop her personal style. Her current collection reflects years of dedication, inspiration, and artistic growth.

We invite you to stop by the library to view Annie Tung’s exhibit and enjoy the colorful, heartfelt works of a painter who reminds us that it’s never too late to follow your creative passions.

Thank you, Annie, for sharing your talent and story with the Parsippany community!
