Pooja hails from Bangalore, a metropolitan city in South India. Her parents & sister observed young Pooja interested in fine arts and heartily nurtured her interests. Growing up Pooja loved drawing biology diagrams in her science record books and she eventually found her passion in the field of Medicine and trained as an ENT Surgeon and has enjoyed working in two premier teaching hospitals in India.
After immigrating to the US, she rekindled her interest in arts and found a whole new world of Indian folk arts to explore! She has taken courses on several different art forms over the years and enjoyed sharing her paintings with her husband. She loves how her daughter requests her to draw her favorite animals!
She is excited to present her maiden collection of paintings titled, “ATHARVA- A MELTING POT OF INDIAN FOLK ARTS”.
Hope you all enjoy them!
