Melissa is a lifelong reader and library-user, and even after 30 years she can’t believe she’s lucky enough to get to come to work in one every day. Melissa is a New Jersey native and received her BA and MLS from Rutgers University. Her favorite books to recommend are The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell and the Hearts Invisible Furies by John Boyne.
Jeanmarie started her 23 year career at the Parsippany Troy Hills Public library System as a Library Assistant and through the years has worked her way up to Meeting Room and Adult Programming Coordinator and PR. All of this because a wonderful Librarian, Jean Jones, took pity on a scraggily 10 year old who just wanted a library card. She enjoys reading, specifically mysteries and romance series, her growing family, travel, and anything Scottish, (Outlander anyone?)
Miss Rose has been a Children’s Librarian at the Parsippany-Troy Hills Public Library since 2004. She loves running storytimes and crafts and visiting schools, but the best thing about her job is working in a community full of enthusiastic and dedicated library users and she is always happy to help children and their grown-ups find the materials that are the best fit for them.
Ms. Lizzie has officially been a Youth Services Librarian since 2006. She has unofficially been a Youth Services Librarian since she tried to circulate her own books to her friends at age 9. She got married to another librarian in a library and has two children who think they are also librarians. Ms. Lizzie really loves picture books by Ame Dyckman, especially Wolfie the Bunny, which was checked out at the time this photograph was taken.
Currently the Branch Manager for our Lake Hiawatha Branch Library, Korin has been with the Parsippany Troy Hill Public Library system in different positions for over 16 years and has worked in various MAIN libraries for over 30 years. Korin enjoys her role in developing your eContent and Online Resources. But most of all she loves connecting with the community! Korin also enjoys developing themed events such as May the 4th Day, virtual Star Wars story times, and celebrating National themed days. Korin survives her commute by listening to audiobooks (#audiobooksarenotcheating). She received her BA in History from East Stroudsburg University and her MSLS from Clarion University.
When she is not working you’ll find her attending a Broadway show, watching a movie or snuggling with her cat Chewbacca Girl.
