Established in 1984, the Friends of the Library is a volunteer, 501C3 nonprofit organization. Their membership consists of local residents committed to enhancing library services. The Friends hold fundraising events throughout the year.
The proceeds are donated to the Library and used to fund Adult, Children’s and Teen Programs and purchase books and media. A significant percentage of the Friends income comes from membership dues and from book sales.
Donated books are sold by Friends volunteers at their Indoor and Outdoor Bag Sales and their Little Nook Bookshop in the Main Library.
You can become active in this organization by noting it on your application form. The Friends are constantly looking for new members. Whether you are new to the area or have been a Parsippany resident for many years, we can use your help. If you have a love for the library, please consider becoming a member of the Friends
